Growing up in New Orleans, Louisiana, I was surrounded by fabulous architecture and a colorful culture.    I always had a passion for art and was known as an “artist” by the time I was in Kindergarten!  I loved to draw and paint, and pursued that passion as an Art Major at the University of Texas in Austin.  After a year in the Art Department, I made the change to Interior Design so I could get a “real” job when I graduated!  However, my favorite part of these design projects was painting the watercolor renderings of our proposed interiors.  This interest led me to a freelance job with Page Gulfstream in San Antonio while I was still in college – I painted the proposed interiors for private jets!  Though that was a very cool job, I decided to move to Houston upon graduation, the land of booming construction, and worked in the design industry for many years -- until I had my third son, and turned all of my attention to a more domesticated life, and satisfied my artistic bent when any art-related projects came about at their schools.

Our Story

Fast forward to a few years ago, when my middle son became engaged, and I decided to create a simple wedding map for the hospitality bags.  They were a major hit with the guests, and I was on my way to pursuing the novelty of custom wedding maps.

My hand-drawn, inked and water-colored Wedding Maps have evolved to become highly detailed personal story boards of the bride and groom.  They tell the story of romance – where you met, what activities you enjoy together, where he proposed, and then also include the wedding venues, and a custom designed monogram at the top.

Each map is a custom art commission, a unique and meaningful wedding keepsake.  Typically the original is framed and hung in the home of the newlyweds, a wonderful time to reflect upon for years to come!
